1.20 Day 20

Taras decides to become the electrician they can't afford.
He prays he doesn't get himself electrocuted. Actually, the risk of him either getting himself killed or making the problem worse is higher than him fixing it, given that he knows nothing about repair work. So he really shouldn't be doing this.

But the stench from the accumulating dishes is, for the moment, stronger than his self-preservation.

Since he doesn't get himself killed, he chats with Melor.
"Partay! Partay!"
Taras sighs happily, "You sound just like your mother."

Aside from the most important of words, Nozomi also teaches Melor the most important of skills. If she can lessen the amount of diapers she changes, she could die a happy woman.

What she didn't count on was having to empty the potty.
"He'll be old enough to go to school soon, dear," Taras soothes from the rocking chair.
Nozomi rolls her eyes. "Gee, thanks, Grandma."
"Would you like some cookies? Or pumpkin pie?" Taras adopts an old, crackling voice.
"Pft, like you know how to bake."
"Don't talk back to me, young lady!"

Taras may not know how to bake, but he does know how to make his son smile.
"Are you excited to be a big brother?"
He'll take Melor's laughter as a "yes".

It looks like he'll be a big brother quite soon.
"Taras, it's time!"

AN: Pretty short update; Taras and Nozomi spent the whole day teaching Melor his skills.
Speaking of Melor, I forgot to say what traits he has. He's a genius and a loner. I wasn't allowed to pick his traits at birth, so I was surprised that they were actually "positive" traits.
