The Zorins' bathtub decided today was the day to rebel.
Too bad it didn't count on the iron fist (well, wrench) of authority.
Another day, another set of bills.
Nozomi's heart sinks along with their balance.
She checks her phone for messages, but aside from a few texts from Tia and other friends, there's nothing. Usually a gig means more job offers, but after the one she had, she's not surprised no one wants her. She sighs and goes inside to pull on her uniform.
Even when dejected, Nozomi does manage to impress a few bystanders.
"You're doing great!" Tia whispers, throwing in a wad of change.
Nozomi would tell her to keep her charity, but she and Taras really need the money. Besides, if it's not just Tia tipping her, she reasons she must be doing pretty well.
Nozomi's face is the result of finding more than 30 simoleons in her tip jar.
Nozomi's not the only one out on work-related business.
Andrew de La Fayette-Martin is seen here, questioning his marriage. Is it just him, or is his wife kind of blue!?
He is also not very sober.
Billy-Joel Yokel and Taras have been tasked with improving their sales pitch to their clients. Sure, Taras is charismatic enough, but simply guessing fortunes only gets you so far. They need to know how to vaguely imply things.
Billy-Joel takes the role of a potential client. He gets a bit too into the role.
"This is just pseudo-science! You're ripping me off!"
Taras sighs. "Does this look scientific enough?"
Billy-Joel nods, impressed. "Where did you get that thing?"
Taras could tell Billy-Joel he summoned it from his alchemy station at home...
"My wife's been teaching me magic tricks."
AN: Taras actually tried to offer Billy-Joel a private reading, which he rejected. He must not think very highly of his own profession.
Nozomi earned 86 simoleons in tips! Simbots, divorcees, and the young & wealthy are quite generous tippers.
I guess Billy-Joel knows all the tricks already! Yay for the 86 simoleons :D
ReplyDeleteYeah, he must! And yes, Nozomi is *finally* earning some decent money! After playing rich legacy families, playing these 2 is a whole different experience...
