Nozomi tries out some...
...alternative... locations.
Become a magician, they said. It'll be fun, they said, she thinks bitterly as her doves fly into pungent air. Still, Prof. Vonneedle seems to appreciate her efforts.
You are now looking at the Gypsy Wagon's newest Fortune Guesser.
He will predict your future.
Maybe.
He thinks.
He decides to call over his co-workers for a small get-together after his shift. He feels like celebrating!
They all arrive, each offering congratulations on his promotion. Aside from their boss, Taras is the highest ranking employee at their rather unconventional workplace.
Nozomi comes home to find a bunch of strangers in her house.
"Hey, dude, is your wife pissed?" one of Taras's co-workers want to know.
Taras shakes his head, "She's probably just annoyed that no one's asked her to dance yet."
Sure enough, once Nozomi finds a dance partner, her mood lifts dramatically. Behind her, Candi Barracks and Billy-Joel Yokel shake their hips slightly off-beat while Taras and Margo chat about work.
Taras wants to practice his fortune-telling. He's not sure the physical contact is strictly necessary, but their boss said it would be "more convincing".
Margo's more concerned with her glasses being pushed into her eyes.
"I sense...a feeling of blindness. Perhaps you feel lost-"
"Get your hand off of my face, Zorin."
His co-workers eventually filter out of the house. Nozomi finishes her dinner while Taras cleans up. The stereo continues to play in the corner.
When Taras moves to turn it off, Nozomi leaps out of her chair and intercepts him.
"Hey, wait! I never got a dance with you," Nozomi pouts.
He chuckles and draws her into his arms. The only dancing he knows is specialized for the one slow song at prom. Nozomi giggles at how formal it feels.
Still, as they sway together, she has to admit it's nice. No fast movements distracting her from her partner, no thumping music causing her to scream just to be heard.
Just her and him, being together.
AN: Finally, Taras got a promotion! Now he can preform "private readings", which consist of him face-hugging people with his hand for several sim minutes then getting a small sum of money afterwards.
Squee! That dancing scene <3 They have certainly turned into one of the most lovey-dovey and adorable couples ever. And the fact that they were so unsure at first just makes it better. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI know! Actually for me one of the hardest things to write is romance, so the fact that they're lovey-dovey is an accomplishment for me, lol.
DeleteAhaha, I love the private readings animation. XD
ReplyDeleteI agree with Annie, they've turned into a wonderfully adorable couple. :D
So do I! It's right up there with the "show off teeth" animation with werewolves and vampires for me.
DeleteThey *are* super cute. From how the legacy is currently going, they might have passed on their physical cuteness, at least.
