1.4 Day 4

How can two people produce so much laundry!? Nozomi wondered as she collected discarded clothes. It's not like we have that many outfits...

Nozomi looks around the sparsely furnished room. They'd only moved in weeks before. So far their only unique additions to the house had been an alchemy station and a book shelf, both at Taras's insistence.

Their stay at the nectary hadn't lasted too long, both of them feeling cooped up in the quaint but cramped room. Neither of them even brought up the possibility of continuing their travels and looked at renting homes instead. With their pooled funds from her street performances and Taras's horoscope readings, they were able to afford a 2-person house.

Now with more bills to pay, Nozomi has been practicing her magic harder than ever. If she gets good enough, maybe someone will give her a stage-gig and they afford better wall-paper.

The couple shares domestic duties given their strange, often changing schedules. On days where Taras has work, he makes breakfast and Nozomi does the laundry. On his days off, he does the laundry and Nozomi does the cooking before she goes out for tips. Of course, there are times where one of them does most of the work, but that is to be expected.

For this particular day, most of the chores are done but only by nightfall. Nozomi feels bad for taking so much time away from working and shovels down what should have been breakfast into her mouth.

She does make it to the park in time to catch a few stragglers.

The young, energetic magician easily captivates the bored teenager and her father.

Taras goes to the library after work. Their small cache of savings hasn't been enough to afford a lot of books, so Taras still visits here often.

By the time her audience grows bored, Nozomi is tired enough to throw in the towel. She sighs as she collects her tips- a whopping 16 simoleons- and begins the short walk home.

She strips out of her uniform and climbs into bed next to Taras. Before she lays down, she plants an unsteady kiss on his forehead.
They both fall asleep quickly, dreaming of their new lives together.
AN: If sim lives were longer, I would've written another few chapters about them becoming acclimated to married life... but sims have short lives and so much to do within them!
Nozomi just got promoted to level 2 of the magician career. Taras has been doing pretty badly at his job due to crappy moodlets, but they still had enough for me to build and furnish their new house.

  1. Yeah, the short lifespan of sims sometimes makes it hard to really convey how relationships really work. I find myself zooming through relationships too.

    1. Yes, exactly! And actually they started a few days into their YA stage, which I left alone since they have supposedly been travelling around for awhile, so their time is pretty short!

  2. They have a house! Good job saving up for that, despite the sad amount of tips Nozomi gets xD

    1. Thankfully couples made in CAS start off with a decent amount of cash- if I'd started with a single sim, they *might* have gotten a box with the bedroom and kitchen in the same room and a pitiful closet sized bathroom.
