Maybe being pregnant while raising a toddler wasn't the best idea.
She's not even showing yet and she can feel her energy leaking away!
Keeping focused on anything is a full time job; more often than not, she messes up simple tasks like making breakfast.
Seeing the charred remains of her breakfast elicits a dejected sigh from Nozomi.
Looks like she'll be sticking to instant food...
Maybe it's for the best, anyways. Cooking takes time, and time is something she does not have, not with a toddler to raise.
Not to mention her usual chores.
She's too tired to tell, but she's pretty sure the washing machine just mocked her.
Morning sickness blues.
She cannot wait for this baby to come out!
Hearing the familiar sound of Nozomi retching and the toilet flushing, Taras winces. He wishes he could help, but the doctors at the hospital just said to wait it out.
I'm glad I'm not a woman!
Right now, Nozomi wishes she wasn't one, either.
"Are you ok?" Taras calls out, concern edging into his voice.
"Yeah, I just need to lie down..."
She doesn't want to risk laying down on the bed. She might just...
fall asleep.
Taras smiles down at her and turns out the lights. Melor is safely inside his crib, so he figures Nozomi could use a few hours of sleep.
What the hell is that noise?! Nozomi wakes up to a shrill buzzing.
She slowly rights herself up, wincing as she sits up. Sleeping on the couch has wrought havoc on her muscles.
She flips on the lights and checks the caller ID.
"Sandeep! Hi!" Nozomi greets cheerfully. It's been awhile since she's seen any of her friends.
"Oh, the movies?" she repeats, "Oh, Sandeep, I can't go, Melor's at that age, you know?" She cringes- she's become one of those moms.
"A workout, huh?" Sandeep seems pretty dead set on inviting her out. The thing is, she's really tempted. It's been a long time since she's been to the gym.
In the end, however, she still has to refuse. Parenthood is not very conducive to her social life.
It doesn't help that all the plumbing in the house is conspiring against her.
Ugh, when was the last time this thing was cleaned? Nozomi's nose crinkles in disgust as she plunges. A lot of the regular maintenance in the house has fallen to the wayside in favor of sleep.
For the moment, it will still have to be on hold.
"I think you have my hair," Taras laughs, "But those purple eyes? That's all from your mom!"
Melor isn't always agreeable.
"I'm tired too!" Taras says in a near-whine. He takes a deep breath, then looks his son in the eyes.
"Who wants a bedtime story?"
Nozomi would like one, too.
"I don't know if I'm dreaming or not. Taras, say something, I might be hallucinating."
Taras chuckles tiredly. "Good night, Nozomi."
"Whaaat? Sleep is for the weak! Do you see these biceps!?" Nozomi flexes on her way to bed.
He can only hope their child gets her sense of humor.
Oh my god, we're actually having another baby!
AN: Right now Nozomi and Taras are basically like roommates raising a kid together- one of them stays up for nearly 24 sim hours while the other works, then when one returns from work, the other sleeps and the cycle repeats.
