1.14 Day 14

Study date!
Taras wanted to go to the library, so he went under the guise of reading up on pregnancy. Nozomi, desperate to get out of the house, tagged along.

By the time she finishes the book, Taras has already left for work.
The idea of staying alone today makes her feel a bit anxious.

So why be alone when you can party?

This isn't the kind of party Tia usually goes to (first of all, if this outfit is "overdressing" everyone else must be in their pajamas), but she can see the burning need to dance in her friend's eyes. Since she understands that need all too well, she obliges Nozomi.

Nozomi doesn't just want to dance, she wants to let loose. Being pregnant slightly hinders her, but she doesn't need drinks to have a good time.
"Woo, party!"
Sandeep Alvi whoops back at her.

Among her guests is Sticks O'Mackey-Roboto. He appreciates the invitation- a fascinating chance to study human behaviour- but still inquires as to the purpose of this gathering.
"Well, I was feeling kind of antsy because I'm pregnant-,"

"You are gestating? Congratulations!"
It is rare that Sticks gets a chance to practice his congratulatory responses. He wonders if his "pleasant surprise" expression is adequate.

Taras is only mildly surprised to find the house crowded with people. Parties seem to be Nozomi's cure-all. Feeling lonely? Have a party. Feeling sad? Have a party. Feeling sick? Have a party.
Feeling tired and cranky?
Have a party.

Rose Greenman decides to assist in Sticks's social education.

"Wow, you're going to pop any minute now!" Somer exclaims. It seems like yesterday that she was expecting a baby herself. She tries to remind herself of the back pain, the nausea, the peeing-when-she-sneezes...
"You're so lucky, Nozomi."

Rose has a bit of a different stance.
"Your house is so clean. I can't even remember the last time I could see my floor," she laments, "Enjoy it while you can! Kids change everything."

AN: Party for no reason. Well, Nozomi can't do any of her magician work while she's pregnant and Taras's job isn't terribly photo-worthy, so I decided to let her have a bit of fun.
She threw an "epic" party, by the way. Of course when the goal is not Party to Remember, she throws an awesome one.
